How did you get your PSC nickname?
I'm the Black Fox, Damnit.

What is your real name and age?
Steve Kimball, 54 as of 2016

Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
Bear, DE, USA . . . it's always a challenge

What do you do to keep the bills paid?
I chop for the three magazines I own

What do you do in your spare time?
I'm a pyrate, mate. . . oh and a cosplayer. . . a rennie. . . a US Navy veteran. . . a pagan. . . and a Republican. . . oh and confused.

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
I happened into it on a search for "Photoshop Contest" and been off-and-on addicted since. . .eeeesh. . . 2003.

If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?
People who want to change the rules DURING a contest should be banned.

Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?
see above

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
2

What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?
OMG. . . the list would be endless

What tools do you use to chop?
Pshop on an überMac (as it's supposed to be. . . only real PShop artists use Macs)

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
depends on the source. . .sometimes easy. . .sometimes I just look around the room and match a masterpiece with the source photo

What inspires you?
my muses Emma and Cyn

Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
I learned a long time a go to just jump in. . . . but really outside of the first step (duplicate the image in a new layer) it's different each time.

What style of chop do you prefer to create?
A source that's a funny photo-real but not vector

Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
Layers on layers. . . . it's easier to organize

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
I usually work it and work it till I'm happy with it then take one thing away from the work. . . I always over-work a piece.

What is the limit to what you will chop?
We need an ADULT Phoshop contest. . . with no rules on taste. . .that would rock.

Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
Don't ever. . .EVER. . .work Phoshop on anything other than a Mac. . .to do so is unnatural and makes you smell bad (and will make the baby Jesus cry) . . . work in a world without "Windows" or "Gates" to trap you.

What is your favorite type of source image, and why?
nature and things unnatura

There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?
I think the source should always play a major part of the entry. . . . or why bother using the source at all?

What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
random websites

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
hot chick vote

Do you have a system to get things started?
ALF

Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
never. . .there's more than one for Advantage folk

After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
no. . .but afterwards. . .sometimes I do

If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
I stay. . . after all, I'm better than everyone else!

What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
hot chick vote

Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
poor chopping . . .

Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
6 hours tops. . . it's a good way to get my juices flowing for paying work

We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
I go through them once a day and vote as I deem fit (i.e. hot chick and you get a vote)

What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?
all of them.

What do you consider your best chop so far?
M&Ms car accident. . . only one I won.

What do you consider your worst chop so far?

What is the best chop of all time?
